Health-Related and Health Leadership Expertise and Experience
Originally trained as a basic scientist with a PhD in Molecular Medicine, I worked on how the renin angiotensin system (a blood pressure regulating system) impacts pregnancy and preeclampsia. During my postdoctoral experience working with a non-profit health organization, I helped physicians across the Southeastern United States understand population health of their practice around blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol management. As a higher education administrator, my career has focused on creating a foundation for undergraduate, graduate, MD, PA and academic nursing students to pursue their dreams leading both academic affairs, simulation, research and education and library departments.
Salem Through My Eyes
Salem to me is a place that is beautiful in its surroundings and small in its size, creating a family atmosphere where anyone can thrive. The campus comes together to do BIG things and to make a difference.
