How did you and your family decide that Salem Academy was right for you?
I was introduced to Salem by my older sister, Elise, who was the first of us three sisters to attend. I was inspired by her enthusiasm for the school, and I eagerly followed in her footsteps. My family and I decided that the rigorous academic program at Salem would best prepare me for college.

Salem is a special place. From traditions, to focus on academic enrichment, to teachers and staff that are truly invested in their students – it is a place like no other.
How does the Academy’s STEAM focus prepare students for college and careers?
I believe that the Academy’s STEAM focus is crucial for preparing students for college and careers. STEAM education fosters critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. By nurturing these skills from a young age, students are better equipped to tackle the challenges they’ll encounter in higher education and beyond.

What’s your favorite memory of Salem Academy outside the classroom?
Some of my fondest memories revolve around the simple joy of spending time with the other boarding students in our dorm rooms during free time. Whether we were studying or engaging in conversation – it was truly comforting to have my friends (and sisters!) just a few steps away.

The rigorous curriculum and supportive faculty at Salem Academy helped me develop strong study habits, time management skills, and a passion for learning that have been instrumental in my academic endeavors.
What would be your recommendation to a student who is considering studying at Salem Academy, but can’t decide if she wants to attend?
I would recommend that they visit Salem Academy to experience the campus environment firsthand. I highly encourage anyone considering Salem to take a walk around the campus, interact with students and faculty, and attend classes/events. Talking with current students and alumnae is also a great way to gain valuable insights into the school’s culture and help the student gain a deeper understanding of what it’s like to study at Salem Academy.
Is there anything else you want to share about your experience at Salem Academy?
I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to attend Salem Academy alongside both of my sisters. They are, and have always been, my best friends.
