Salem Academy Becomes First Independent School to Partner with The Tuition Exchange

New partnership offers full-tuition awards to eligible boarding students.

Salem Academy is the first independent school to partner with The Tuition Exchange, opening a new pathway for eligible families to access its college preparatory education for young women in grades 9–12.

The Tuition Exchange is a network of participating institutions that offers tuition scholarship opportunities to eligible employees’ dependents. Families access the benefit through a participating employer, with eligibility and awards determined through an application process.

Through the partnership, Salem Academy will offer full-tuition awards to eligible students whose families qualify for Tuition Exchange benefits. The opportunity brings an education centered on academic rigor, leadership development, and wellness education within reach for more families.

An Education with Room to Grow

At Salem Academy, students learn to think deeply, lead boldly, and live well. Challenging academics prepare young women for college and life beyond it, while close connections with teachers and peers help them build confidence and find their voices.

Students explore their interests through robotics, the arts, athletics, service, and experiential learning. Leadership opportunities encourage them to take initiative and contribute to their community.

For boarding students, Salem’s historic campus in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, also becomes home. Living and learning alongside peers creates opportunities to develop independence, form lasting friendships, and participate fully in Academy life.

Learn More and Apply

Families interested in the program should contact Salem Academy Admissions to learn about eligibility, the application process, and boarding costs. Families can also consult their participating employer’s Tuition Exchange liaison about accessing the benefit.
