Salem Academy and College to Host Christmas Candlelight Service

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (NOV. 25, 2025)—Salem Academy and College will host its annual Christmas Candlelight Service on December 4, 2025, at 4:15 p.m. in the Elberson Fine Arts Center’s Hanes Auditorium on Salem’s campus. Members of the public are invited to attend.

The service will feature Salem College students, as well as Virginia Hege Tobiassen, MDiv, Head Pastor of Home Moravian Church, who will deliver inspiring words for the holiday season. The Salem College Chorale will provide music, and the service will conclude with the lighting of traditional Moravian candles.

“The Christmas Candlelight Service is a beloved tradition at Salem Academy and College. Each year, our community looks forward to gathering together to celebrate the season and honor Salem Academy and College’s Moravian roots,” said Interim President Gary Daynes, PhD. “We welcome members of the public to join us in this meaningful celebration as we enter the holiday season.”

No registration is required to attend the Christmas Candlelight Service. Free parking is available adjacent to the Elberson Fine Arts Center.
